Girls Who Code Has Launched!

What Is Girls Who Code?

The official Goleta Valley Junior High chapter of Girls Who Code has launched! Members of the club will meet each Thursday at 2:40 for a total of 10 sessions.

Each coder can choose a coding language, such as Python, Scratch, or JavaScript. After completing the tutorials, we will build a project website to showcase what we build together.

All levels of learners are welcome, from beginners to advanced coders.

What Will Students Do?

Each session contains about 30 minutes of tutorial work on the coding language of your choice.

I'm even learning basic Python. You can see one of my first attempts at a "chat bot" in the image below.

Who Can Join?

This club is open to all GV students. If any Goleta Valley Junior High student would still like to join, see me in the library. Everyone is welcome.

Girls Who Code t-shirts are available at this link: Order Your Girls Who Code Tee We need to purchase at least 10 shirts to make the order.
